The ancient love for a far-off land. A hypnotic universe with a dual soul, eternally suspended between the indissoluble bond of an ancient culture – with its rituals, gestures and secrets – and the frenetic tension of a hyper-modernity in constant evolution. Japonisme is the new collection designed by Gabriella for Or.nami – of which she is founder and artistic director – which will be unveiled during Milano Design Week. It is a visionary, poetic and emotional homage to Japan and its hypnotic, mysterious allure, through the graphical representation of three different moments. Three strongly symbolic themes – the representation of nature, the homage to tradition, and the representation of space – inseparably linked to this world which is at the same time both distant and very close.
